To reflect promptly and completely the latest development of Macao is the mission of DSEC. Every year, we conduct more than 60 statistical projects covering the demographic, social and economic aspects. Information collected from our surveys, after being processed and analysed, will be integrated to compile statistical indicators, tabulations and graphs, which will be disseminated to the public in the form of press release, publication, on DSEC website, etc.
The following is an introduction to our services:
1. Enquiry about Statistical Information
The Documentation and Information Centre of DSEC is designated to take better care of users’ requests for statistical information. Five types of enquiry services are available to data users:

In person enquiry
You are welcome to visit the Documentation and Information Centre that is furnished with adequate facilities and comfortable environment. Our staff will take care of your queries and assist you in obtaining the necessary information as quickly as possible.
The Centre is equipped with computers for you to access statistical data on-line. When necessary, free photocopying service of statistical data is also available.

Monday to Thursday: 9:00 am to 5:45 pm
Friday : 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

Subscribing electronic publications is the most efficient way of obtaining statistical information. Upon release of the information, you will receive our notifying email with the link to access the respective publication.

4. Assistance in Completing Survey Questionnaires
High quality statistics rely on the accuracy of the information you provide. If you are selected to participate in our survey and would like to know more about the survey or have our staff clarifying your queries of the questionnaire, please visit the Survey Corner.

With the vast variety of surveys and statistical data compiled by DSEC, the Personalized Webpage, a customized service, is designed to address your needs. The Personalized Webpage allows you to obtain statistical information of your interest immediately without the hassle of searching. Customized Statistical Tables
Select the indicators from the Time Series Database to produce the statistical tables of your choice (e.g. the relationship between visitor arrivals and the value of retail sales). The table specifications can be stored in your customized “My Statistics” page that will be automatically updated together with our system.

6. Time Series Database
You can access the historical data series of the principal statistical indicators compiled by DSEC in just one webpage. The statistical indicators in the database include data on demographic, social and economic aspects.

7.On-line Statistics Database

External Merchandise Trade Database
You can search and obtain external merchandise trade statistics on-line according to the selected period, country, product description or commodity coding of the Nomenclature for the External Trade of Macao/Harmonized System.

8. Web Service
Web Service is a convenient and efficient service designed for those who would like to quote the official statistics compiled by DSEC. With some modifications of your webpage, the statistical information of your choice will be embedded to your webpage through our Web Service that will be automatically updated together with our website.
