The 59^th World Statistics Congress

The 59^th World Statistics Congress (WSC) will be held in Hong Kong from 25 to 30 August 2013. Encompassing a diverse range of statistical topics and issues, the congress provides the largest platform for academic exchange on statistical fronts. The theme of the 59th WSC is dedicated to “Youth”, which promotes participation of young statistical practitioners, as well as teachers and students who are interested in statistics.

To encourage young people of Macao to participate in this biennial statistical event, the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) is pleased to provide funding on registration fee to selected teachers and students of the local post-secondary institutions and universities.

Notes:

I.		All successful applicants will receive a confirmation letter from the Organizer of the 59th World Statistics Congress through e-mail. Please bring the confirmation letter and present it at the registration counter.
II.		Students who have received funding are required to submit a post-conference report (not less than 600 words) sharing their experience at the congress by 30 September 2013. Please submit the report to the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) by email: info@dsec.gov.mo or via their guiding professor.
